We are seeking energetic and reliable staff to provide support in a school office or classroom across the Shoalhaven region as a Casual School Support Officer (SSO)

Whether your strengths lie in front-office customer service and school administration, or providing assistance in the classroom and supporting student learning, this casual role offers the opportunity to keep our schools running smoothly while making a meaningful impact every day.

As a Catholic system of schools, we're seeking individuals who demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church through education.

Note: Obtaining casual approval makes you eligible to work as a Casual SSO across Catholic schools within the Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW), though it does not guarantee continuous employment.

Essential Application Requirements

To complete your application form successfully, please ensure you have the following ready:

  1. Eligibility Criteria (Must meet at least one):
    • Qualifications: Certificate III in Education Support and/or Business Administration OR equivalent (please contact Recruitment to confirm eligibility)
    • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role
    • Current Studies: Currently undergoing tertiary qualifications to become a Teacher (at least completed first year of tertiary qualification in Education/Teaching)
  1. Child Safety Clearance: A current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance for paid employment (strictly required prior to commencement).
  2. Proof of Identity: Valid government-issued photo ID documents.
  3. Professional References: Satisfactory referee checks from recent professional supervisors.
  4. Employment Declaration: Satisfactory completion of the official CEDoW Employment Declaration form.
